Brighten Haiti Essay Contest:
REAd, Vote, and Help Students Win Solar Power to Study at night.
The Brighten Haiti Essay Contest celebrates the voices of students from schools that now have solar energy. For many of these students, reliable electricity has opened the door to evening study, computer labs, and new possibilities for learning. Their essays share what these changes mean for their lives, their schools, and their future.
Your vote matters.
The student whose essay receives the most likes will win a micro-solar system for their home, giving their family dependable power for the first time. In addition, one student from each participating school will receive a rechargeable study lamp. These prizes are life changing, and every single vote directly supports the students who worked hard to share their stories.
We invite you to read each essay, appreciate the students’ effort, and cast your vote for the ones that move you. By taking part, you are encouraging young writers, supporting their education, and helping us bring even more solar energy to schools across Northern Haiti.
Thank you for being part of their journey.
